Otrivin NS Cold & Allergy is used as a means of obtaining relief of congestion due to the common cold and allergies.
This is a very convenient, easy to use nasal relief product. Begin by gently blowing your nose. Hold your head upright and spray the solution into one nostril, then the other one. Take a deep breath and allow a few minutes for the spray to penetrate the nasal area. Otrivin NS Cold & Allergy can be administered every eight to ten hours to keep air flowing freely through the nose.
After each use, thoroughly rinse the spray tip with hot water. Dry the tip with a clean tissue. Replace the cap and leave it on the container when not in use. Containers of Otrivin NS Cold & Allergy should be used by only one person. Sharing the product may spread the infection.
If a dose is inadvertently missed, administer a dose as soon as possible and take the next one eight to ten hours later. Thereafter, continue with the regular dosing schedule. Do not double up on doses to make up for the missed dose. Otrivin NS Cold & Allergy should not be used for more than three days. If improvement is not seen within that time, contact your health care provider.
